With the love spreading even further and a dear friend Olivia getting engaged about a month ago followed by Nikita one week later, we had to get a date in the diary for a celebratory dinner!
The venue was set and it was off to Elysee restaurant on Percy Street, to secure a table on their roof garden to bask in yet another balmy summer evening.
They have some really good set meze menus on offer which are great value, but we actually went off their A La Carte for the evening.
Emma and I shared a massive portion of Crispy Calamari and Tartare sauce. Which were perfectly crispy (you’ll notice it’s been awhile since I’ve had really bad calamari) and plenty to go around.
Next up there were a lot of orders of the chicken marinated in yoghurt, lemon and pepper with a rocket salad and houmous. The chicken was butterfly thin and moist with lots of flavour. Was rather simple with the houmous and rocket, a perfect compliment.
After a couple of glasses of wine and catching up on the wonderful proposals for both ladies (the boys did good) it was nearing the end of the night. Our waiter emerged with the options of ‘Greek or International’, this clearly meant shots and as we all know Greek means Ouzo it was International all the way!
It was a lovely catch up with plenty of Quelfies going on and I can’t wait for the big shindig next year, it’s going to be wonderful. Congratulations to you both and thank you for letting me be a part of the celebrations so far!
