We’re on a boat.. along the backwaters this time!

We’d heard very good things about the Backwater boat trips where you can spend a few nights or just go on a day trip. We had opted for the day trip which meant a couple of hours going along the backwaters complete with lunch. We had heard of a couple who’d done 9 nights on the backwaters which might seem a little long as there isn’t too much to do. Continue reading “We’re on a boat.. along the backwaters this time!”

The bright lights of Mysore!

Mysore is a city that was unknown to Lawrence and I before we ventured on the road South from Bangalore for about 3 hours and arrived at our next hotel The Windflower. This is a beautiful spa resort which has a few others throughout India. Continue reading “The bright lights of Mysore!”

Maxwell Scott Travel had arranged for us to stay at Ayisha Manzil in Thalassery a bit further South along our journey through Kerala. This is a unique home stay right in the town on the top of a hill over looking the sea.

Bangalore (Bengaluru) – First stop on our India tour!

Now my radio silence has been due to Lawrence and I being lucky enough to have 2.5 weeks in South India. Our trip was booked through the wonderful Maxwell Scott travel and the mix between tourism and leisure was perfect with all the stops organised perfectly making it stress-free, would highly recommend.
