Now there’s a group of us girls from school who love a good bottomless brunch and it’s become a ritual to catch up over a few glasses of fizz. I recently saw Quaglino’s have started putting on a Q brunch following their refurb. Well being Q girls ourselves how could we not head on down.
Without sounding repetitive Quaglino’s is in fact another D&D restaurant, they are just taking over London and beyond. They’ve done a really nice job of redecorating and the main focal point is the sweeping staircase that centres the room as you enter. It’s the perfect environment for either a special occasion smart meal or just a casual catch up with friends over brunch.
The brunch is great value, a huge menu to choose from whether you’re going for typical brunch food or in fact fancy a two course lunch menu. At 2 courses for £21 or 3 courses for £27 it’s an absolute steal for somewhere like Quaglino’s. The bottomless option is add £15 per person for unlimited prosecco and I can vouch for the fact that they aren’t stingy on the topping up.
Having not eaten yet and a little hungover I opted for the stodgy option of cured ham croque madame, always a winner in my opinion and it was great. Rather than two savoury courses, as predicted us ladies went in for the desserts which were stunning.
One half of the table had the beautifully rich chocolate marquise, feuillantine and baileys cream.
I instead went for the passion fruit pavlova with white chocolate chantilly which was gorgeous, would go back just for that.
It was a lovely meal with the girls and it’s safe to say that we were able to walk out in a straight line but can’t say the same for some of the other women in there who had made the most of the bottomless brunch!
That evening the fun continued as I rendezvoused with Lawrence and his uni friends at 68&Boston, a new favourite bar of mine. At £10 every bottle of wine you can’t go wrong, especially when the wine is actually very very good!
They offer sharing platters if you’re hungry and being in the heart of Soho your money will go a long way which is very rare.
Both places are wonderful venues and great offerings. Scheduled for a hen party at Quaglino’s soon which I am very much looking forward to enjoying the atmosphere again, might see you down there!
